When it comes to channelling the legendary crooners like Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr and Frank Sinatra, our Charlie Chech is one of a kind.

Watching and listening to this boy wonder is mesmerising. His captivating rich voice is a throwback to the Fifties and Sixties legends whose torch is now carried imperiously by the great Michael Bublé.

The immensely-talented Charlie’s musical career took off at 15 after he was sensationally pulled on stage to sing with his idol Michael Buble in Sydney. A successful Talent Development Project 2022 graduate, the Cherrybrook crooner has just recorded his first single at Sony Music Australia, a beautifully re-arranged version of Speak Softly, Love (the haunting Nino Rota theme song from The Godfather movies). It will be released on Spotify and other streaming services.

“Recording at a major studio like Sony was like nothing else I’ve ever done – just so exciting,” an elated Charlie Chech said. “I can’t wait for people to hear my song.”

You can hear our young star, who has also shortened his surname from Tchetchenian, at two exciting shows in July, the first being on Thursday, July 14, at The Galston Club. The Christmas in July show will feature a repertoire of Charlie’s best crooning and jazz songs, along with Christmas tunes. The $35 ticket includes a two-course menu, traditional Christmas roast and a delicious pudding for dessert. The festivities will start at 11am, with tickets available from the club.

On Wednesday, July 20, Charlie will be hosting an intimate dinner show at renowned French restaurant Claire’s Kitchen in Darlinghurst. Charlie will team up with fellow TDP 2022 graduate Jade Steg to present The Crooning and Jazz Greats for the 6pm dinner (delicious three-course meal) and show. Tickets are available on Claire’s Kitchen website at www.claireskitchen.com.au. Tickets are limited so book early.

“I’m really excited about both of my upcoming shows in July. I would love to see my fellow Hills residents attend – it would be great to have the local support,” Charlie said.

“Now that singing and entertainment is well and truly back on track, I believe it’s important to bring the joy of music back to audiences again,” Charlie Chech added.

Charlie Chech has also been juggling his studies and music very well. In March, he was one of the youngest headline acts to perform at Hornsby RSL.

It was a sell-out, quite an extraordinary feat for the rising star. The former CTHS student also started university this year, after receiving a prestigious scholarship to study media and politics at Macquarie University.

And if you think you spied Charlie Chech on television recently, you were right. He featured on Channel 7’s Sunrise Program in an interview and singing segment with presenter Sam Mac.

The good news is that Charlie Chech is available to sing at your next party, special occasion, event or wedding. Details: [email protected], Instagram – @charliechech.music or Facebook – @CharlieChechSinger
