Sydney Writers’ Festival is coming! In her environmental thriller, The Thinning, Australian author Inga Simpson explores humanity’s complex relationship with nature.
The novel follows Fin, who grew up near an observatory and now lives off the grid with her mother and a group of outliers, facing a world in turmoil due to extinctions and biodiversity loss. When a new disaster strikes, Fin teams up with a stranger from a mistrusted group known as the Incompletes. Together, they embark on a perilous journey to restore the natural world and humanity.
