THE DURAL LADY BOWLERS started 2017 as they finished 2016, with serious bowls in heatwave conditions. The final of the Drawn Fours was played and won by Dinie Smith, Christine Fitzgerald, Margaret Yeend and Judith Harris who outlasted Gwen Scott, Pam Hilder, Diane Trovato and Terri Hezlett. The match was completed in time to receive the President’s Fours Trophy at the Presentation Night which was held jointly with the Men’s club in the Country Club Auditorium where the families shared a delicious meal and good company.
They are looking forward to hosting their Summer Carnival on February 27, when teams of four from far and wide come for the prize money provided by TJ Andrews and Living Choice Retirement village. There are still some vacancies for teams who may have not yet entered.
