Dural Bowling Club News: Consistency Competition 2025

PENNANT AND CONSISTENCY COMPETITIONS
The wet weather on the 29th March saw the postponement of the Pennant competition match against Greenlees at the Dural Bowling Club which was rescheduled for Sunday 6th April 2025. Dural bowlers were thus compelled to play a double header the following weekend.

The Consistency Competition started on Tuesday 8th April on a beautiful autumn day. The first round of the competition was played in great spirit and enjoyed by all.

A FERVENT AND DEDICATED MEMBER OF DURAL BOWLING CLUB – JUDITH HARRIS
Judith Harris has been a member of Dural Bowling Club for over 25 years. She has dedicated her time in welcoming and coaching new members. Judith is now in her eighties and is still coaching the new female members and is not ready to pass the baton yet. She is still very zealous in her coaching.

A very competent bowler, Judith won many events at Dural and away, including pennant wins and the Dural local tournaments. She is admired by many at the Dural Bowling Club with her encouragement to all bowlers to improve their games.

VALE JOHN GONZO
John Gonzo passed away on the 2nd April. He wasn’t a member of Dural Bowling Club for very long. He is remembered for reminiscing his football playing time with Parramatta and his hobby for racing pigeons
