Leone Lesslie and her team mates, Barbara Wood and Ruth Keene, took out the Northern Suburbs District Triples championship. After four days’ play they met West Pennant Hills in the final. During the week there had been some spectacular bowls keeping the onlookers glued to their seats. As the skip said, it was a team effort with all the girls putting in some great bowls. They will now join the Fours in the regional play-off later in the year, hoping to get to the state finals on the mid north coast.
