Dural bowlers start winding down for 2017. Even though the main competitions are almost over there is still plenty happening at the bowling club. The Drawn Triples have been won by Kay Turrell, Christine Fitzgerald and Eileen Bromley. Beryl Glover’s team of Diane Trovato and Judith Fay Taylor gave them a run for their title. As in other drawn events the teams were randomly compiled from the entrants and the games all seemed to even out surprisingly well.
On 13th December, the annual presentation of prizes will happen at 10 am, when all the 2017 winners and Runners-Up receive their trophies. This popular joint social event will be the first opportunity to sample the offerings of the new Italian themed restaurant Fedele’s@Dural which is moving into the Dural Country Club on 1st December. Fedele’s has a big reputation for pizzas, so adding welcome variety to the old club favourites. No doubt the ladies will be continuing their coffee regularly for their weekly catch-up chats in the DCC Coffee Shop.
