Disaster assistance is now available to 23 local government areas following severe storms and flooding from 27 June, including The Hills and Hornsby LGAs.
The Disaster Recovery Payment is available to those who have been substantially impacted by flooding. This is a one-off payment of $1000 per eligible adult or $400 per eligible child.
The Disaster Recovery Allowance is a short-term income for those unable to work due to the floods. If eligible, the payments are for $350 a week for a maximum of 13 weeks.
