Temperatures are high and so is the comfort level of every student at Arcadia Public School. Thanks to our fantastic P&C, every classroom is air conditioned to ensure an optimum learning environment. We are very grateful for the generous funding grant received through Federal member, Mr Julian Leeser MP in Term 4 2017. This has seen the upgrade of classroom roller blinds and the installation of external fixed shade awnings, further allowing us to regulate and enjoy comfortable room temperatures.
2018 is set to be another fabulous year of learning at Arcadia Public School. After the excellent results our students achieved in the Australasian Problem Solving Mathematical Olympiads last year they’re looking forward to getting stuck into this year’s challenges. The Year 3 and Year 4 robotics program is well underway with construction, collaboration, programming and design high on the agenda.
It is a real pleasure to introduce and congratulate Sophie and Louie, our 2018 School Captains and Jala and William, Vice Captains. They have been sharing their experiences of leadership camp where they participated in leadership training through problem solving and group challenges. Student leadership is a key attribute of our small school, in a culture where responsibility and personal best are expectations.
