The Community Sponsorship Program for 2025/2026 is now officially open for applications until October 31, 2025. This initiative seeks to encourage passionate individuals, teams, and organisations to apply for funding designed to benefit the local community.
One of the key categories, Resilient Hawkesbury, offers funding of up to $3,000 for organisations that create programs aimed at building a connected, healthy, and inclusive community. This funding can support various activities such as workshops, support groups, and initiatives designed to enhance community engagement.
Additionally, there is support available for those who have been selected to represent Hawkesbury at significant sporting or cultural events. Individual recipients can receive $150, while teams of five or more can apply for $750 to help them excel in their endeavors.
Furthermore, not-for-profit community groups that serve the Hawkesbury area can benefit from financial assistance to help cover facility rental costs. Eligible groups can receive a subsidy of 50% of the fees for hiring a Council or community facility, up to a maximum of $750.
