With the arrival of a new year, the Galston branch of the Country Women’s Association is preparing for another busy season of Community Connection, contribution, and practical creativity within the local community.
The group continues its long-standing tradition of producing homemade jams and preserves, a popular staple of its fundraising efforts. Donations of fresh fruit and vegetables remain an important support for this work, helping to sustain both the activity and the cause behind it.
Meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the Galston Health and Community Centre on Arcadia Road, providing a welcoming space for members and newcomers alike.
The group will resume for the year on Wednesday, 11 February, with the first gathering beginning at 10 am. Visitors are encouraged to attend and experience the strong sense of fellowship that has defined the Galston CWA for generations.
