Due to the wet weather and flooding, The Hills Shire Council is having to delay some mowing and gardening projects
The rain has caused speedy grass growth and some areas are too wet to maintain and safely mow with machinery.
Once the ground dries, it will take some time to reach all Council owned properties, parks and along roadways, but they are trying to attend to this work as quickly as possible.
However, Council’s priority remains with the flood recovery efforts – cleaning, removing debris, getting the road network back in working order and assisting residents who have become isolated as a result of the floods and the damage they have caused.
