Every day we are confronted by activities and situations requiring us to make a choice.
Do you stand in front of the refrigerator at the supermarket, staring at all the different kinds of milk on the shelves? Do you pause, thinking ‘Maybe I should try almond milk? Mmm… then there’s soy, coconut, full cream, light, skim, A2??” The list is endless!
Some choices affect our daily lives while others can affect us for many years; for example, complicated choices – like where to live or which job to take.
God speaks to us about our choices too. He tells us in the bible in John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world ( us) that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son to condemn the world ( us) but that we would be saved through Him.”
Everyone makes mistakes, called sin and Jesus asks us to choose God’s way of living our lives. His way brings hope, peace and eternal life.
Can your choice echo what Joshua said in the bible, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
