After nearly missing out on a ticket, a Castle Hill mum has made history as Saturday Lotto’s biggest individual winner ever, taking home a staggering $6.4 million in the weekend’s draw.

The Sydneysider held the only division one winning entry nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4575, drawn on Saturday, 24 May 2025, and can look forward to $6,427,770.04.

Remarkably, it was her son who purchased the winning ticket through his online account after she couldn’t make it to the newsagency before the draw’s close.

“Oh, my goodness. I’m shaking!” the winning son exclaimed when an official from The Lott called with the winning revelation.

“My mum actually asked me to buy the ticket because she couldn’t make it to the newsagency.

“She’ll be very glad she didn’t miss out on a ticket. This will be life-changing for her.

“My hands won’t stop shaking.

“I’ll have to make sure she’s sitting down when I tell her the news. She’s going to lose her mind.

“She’s been playing for 40-odd years, if not more! She usually chooses her numbers, but this one was just a QuickPick.

“Wow, wow, wow. So, this is the biggest Saturday Lotto division one prize ever? Holy!

“My head is spinning. The one day it finally comes in for my mother and she’s the only winner and it’s the biggest one yet! That’s amazing.

“I’m not sure how she’ll use her prize. I’m sure she’ll have a good think about it, and we’ll try and get together for a celebration.

“Thank you so much!”

The winning 36-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4575 on 26 May 2025 were 13, 36, 5, 37, 33 and 35, while the supplementary numbers were 18 and 10.

Across Australia, there was one division one winning entry in Saturday Lotto draw 4575 – the one in New South Wales.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 407 so far in FY25, including 111 won by NSW Lotteries customers.

In 2024, Saturday Lotto created 149 millionaires across Australia.
