A 35-year-old driver was taken into custody on Wednesday, 27 November 2024, in the morning following a collision on Windsor Road, Castle Hill, suspected of drink driving.
The incident occurred around 11:05 AM when a white Toyota Hilux failed to stop in time and collided with a stationary black Landrover.
Responding officers administered a roadside breath test, which yielded a positive result. Subsequently, the driver was arrested and transported to Castle Hill Police Station. A breath analysis conducted at the station revealed a High Range Prescribed Concentration of Alcohol (PCA) reading of 0.153. Additionally, a roadside drug test indicated the presence of cocaine, which was later confirmed by further testing at the station.
As a result of these findings, the driver’s license was immediately suspended, and they were issued a Field Court Attendance Notice to appear before Parramatta Local Court on January 30, 2025, to face multiple charges.
