Glenorie Rural Fire Brigade: International Womens Day 2025

KEEPING OUR COMMUNITY SAFE

Our team has been busy during the Bush Fire Danger Period which runs from 1 October through to 31 March, with more than 30 call outs and numerous Stand-Up days at the station, and requests for Strike Teams. We would like to say a big thank you to all our volunteer members at GRFB who pitched in and helped assist our community during the peak season. Teamwork makes the dream work!

We have also enjoyed some fun-filled festive events including Christmas Carols in the Park, Glenorie Markets and the much-loved Christmas Eve Santa Run. Despite the fact that it was a scorching hot day at the Christmas Eve Santa Run, the turnout was incredible, with lots of smiling faces and children showing up to see Santa in his sleigh.

To be able to host this event for Glenorie, alongside our fellow Middle Dural Brigade, is such an uplifting experience, which we look forward to every year. It was delightful to receive so many positive comments from the community about how awesome the trucks looked and how many firefighters showed up to escort Santa around the village. Thank you to everyone who showed up and made this such a special event.
