It’s that time of the year again, when Country and City breeders and exhibitors come together for the 2020 Royal Easter Show. This year show will be held from the 3rd to 14th of April 2020. The Sydney Royal is one of the largest and most prestigious of its kind in Australia.

Budgerigars will again be on display during the period of 5th, 6th and 7th of April. Entries for the Aviary Bird Exhibition closed on the 19th February, with the number of aviary birds anticipated to exceed the 400 birds exhibited in 2019. Junior classes will again be available this year and having free entry for the Junior Exhibitors. The exhibition will be held in the Domestic Animal Pavilion.

New additional Budgerigar Classes are being introduced for the 2020 Royal Show, such was the popularity and interest in the Budgerigars over previous years. Judging of the birds will be held on the 6th April 2020, and upon completion , the winners will be displayed with their appropriated Ribbons and Sashes etc.

During the course of the show, Stewards will be available for the general public to obtain information about the birds, various Budgerigar Clubs to join, or discuss their pet birds. Judging of the Budgerigars for 2020, will be undertaken by Mr James Matthews of Canberra. NB. Mr Matthews is a previous winner of this competition.
