Hill Branch members attended the NSW Annual Show on Sunday 16th July 2017 at Seven Hills, where our members were prominent amongst the exhibitors. Along with our exhibitors, two of the judges for the show were also members of Hills Branch, namely, Mrs Kathy Manton and Mr Andre Ozoux.
Mr Daniel Childs was awarded:
– Champion Young Bird – Novice Exhibitor,
– Champion Juvenile Bird – Novice Exhibitor
– Best of Variety – Opaline Award,
whilst Ray Galbraith was awarded the Best of Variety – Dilute Award.
The July meeting of the branch allowed for the AGM to be held, where members had the opportunity to be elected to the committee, to steer the branch during the next twelve months. Also held on the night was a sale night of surplus birds by the various members; this night provides fellow members with the opportunity to acquire birds to enhance their breeding programs. Birds having features similar to the photograph above, were eagerly sought after. During the next month the general public will have the opportunity to visit Annual Shows: Newcastle 13th August 2017 and Northside Annual Show 10th September 2017 at St Ives Showground.
