On Saturday, 9th November, the Galston Glenorie Amateur Fishing Club (GGAFC) is inviting the public to join its monthly fishing competition, followed by a classic Aussie sausage sizzle, at Berowra Waters boat ramp from 5 pm.
Based at The Galston Club, the GGAFC is a tight-knit, family-friendly community united by a shared love of fishing and exploring Australia’s stunning waterways. Anglers of all ages and experience levels are welcome to cast a line, whether in estuaries, surf, offshore, or freshwater environments.
Members compete not only within the club but also against other local fishing clubs, creating a lively and friendly atmosphere. From chasing giant marlin and tuna in big game fishing to landing trout in the mountains, the club caters to a wide range of fishing interests. Its diverse activities ensure there is always something new and exciting on the agenda for members.
The club also holds regular meetings on the first Wednesday of each month at The Galston Club, starting at 6:30 pm, complete with raffles and social catch-ups.
