Echoes Lights up Bella Vista Farm

Bella Vista Farm, Western Sydney’s very own backyard, has come alive with ‘Echoes’ – a mesmerising spectacle of light and sound.

One of The Hills Shire’s most historic landmarks, Bella Vista Farm is, for the first time, seeing its rich history reimagined through light and sound.

Echoes takes visitors on a captivating journey along the reimagined convict road, a leisurely wander through fluorescent farms and flower fields, and retells the story of Elizabeth and John Macarthur, pioneers of the Australian wool industry.

The show also celebrates the Dharug people’s study of the stars and offers a glimpse into the lives of early settlers and the region’s citrus fruit orchards – all through custom soundscapes, light installations and pulsating special effects.

All of this is brought to life through immersive soundscapes, vibrant light installations, pulsating special effects and unique interactive zones.

Speaking at the Echoes preview night, Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne said the show promises to be an unforgettable experience for the whole family.

“Our residents will be able to explore The Hills Shire’s history like never before through cutting edge light and sound effects,” Mayor Byrne said. “This is The Hills Shire’s answer to Vivid, bringing a fun and affordable event for the whole family to enjoy in the heart of Sydney’s north-west,” she added.

She said the Council is proud to have partnered with local event producers, Laservision, to bring this show to life. Based in Dural, Laservision is known for creating unique sensory experiences around the world. Their work includes ‘Nocturnal’ at Scenic World in the Blue Mountains, as well as a series of largescale sound and light productions in Dubai, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

“Stepping into Echoes is akin to stepping into a living storybook. The team has done an amazing job bringing the stories of our region to life. This is a not to be missed light and sound show and a fantastic night out for young and old.

We’ve put on shows all over the globe and it’s amazing to finally produce a show on our doorstep,” said Shannon Brooks, CEO and owner of Laservision.
