Rotary Club of West Pennant Hills and Cherrybrook

Members of the Rotary Club of West Pennant Hills and Cherrybrook were out in force at the annual Australian National Busking Championships at The Entrance on 28th September, helping ensure the event ran smoothly.

Hosted in partnership with the Rotary Clubs of Erina and The Entrance, the championships showcased musicians of all ages and genres, who were judged both by a panel of three experts and the attending public, who showed their support by buying tokens for their favourite performers.

The lively day not only entertained the community but also raised funds for charities supporting domestic violence.

In another initiative to foster youth development, the Club hosted three Year 9 and 10 students from Coonabarabran High School and one from Northholm Grammar School at ‘The Science Experience’ at the University of Technology Sydney from 24th-26th September. The program gave students a hands-on opportunity to explore scientific concepts, engage with leading scientists, and tackle problem-solving challenges—all while enjoying the sights of Sydney.

Earlier in the week, the Rotary Club held a successful BBQ and cake stall at Bunnings Castle Hill on 27th September. Proceeds from the event were directed to Rotary-supported charities, reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to community service.
