The pleasure of being part of a ‘group’ is that each member can share, in a small way, the success of another. Please; imagine our joy when Nicole Tate (one of our newer members) came away from the recent Sydney Quilt Show with a “Judges Commendation” Quilt NSW 2024!!!.
Started at a quilting ‘summer school’ earlier this year Nicole chose hand stitching and machine stitching to make and complete this glorious quilt. Her choice of fabrics is superb and the overall colour combinations make this an absolute “winner” !!! (Photo right of the full quilt)
Summertime gives everyone encouragement to start something new and we quilting ladies are no exception; we are already making plans for our “secret” Christmas Blocks which will be revealed at Christmas Lunch in early December.
Perhaps consider a ‘new’ project’ for yourself… IF you are interested in quilting, sewing or just belonging to a group of women who share common interests, our Welcome Mat is always there for new members and friends.
Arcadian Quilters meet on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesday of each month at the Community Hall, The Glade, Galston at 9.30am.
