All the signs are there for us to see … the beautiful spring flowers, Azaleas, Iris, Daisies, closely followed by Crab Apple blossoms and Manchurian Pear Tree blossoms … our local gardens look amazing!
Other ‘definite’ signs of the weeks passing quickly are ‘the School Holidays timetable’ and love-it or not … Daylight Saving!
However shared Charity work remains ‘a constant’. Arcadian Quilting and The CWA are two groups where friendships can remain for many years. Planning and working with other like-minded people is a good example of commitment. When so much around us keeps changing, the opportunity to work towards a goal and to keep an eye on the bigger picture is of great importance.
These Community Connections can be appreciated when reading this plaque which supports the beautifully crafted Fan Quilt, made by Maxinne O’Toole, her thoughtful, personal memento to past shared friends. Both plaque and Quilt are on display in The Community Centre, Galston.
