House Quilt Patterns
Housing is a BIG subject at the moment along with affordability.
The word ‘house’ creates thoughts of safety, warmth, security and a personal space.
While our humble quilts cannot solve the “big picture” problems we can and do work towards putting a warm connection into a room where it is needed, be it a care-home or a safe-house, a child’s bed or a simple cuddle-rug for a tiny child.
We are giving what we can make to those who need help and our reward is ‘joy in sharing’.
One of our endof- year projects was this “houses-quilt” (now complete and seen right), ready to add to our growing pile of Community Quilts.
2025 is proving to be as busy as last year with our meeting days well attended where the ideas flow and hands are busy.
This month we look forward to meeting a Co-ordinator from the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Women’s Shelter making yet another connection within our Community.
We meet on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesday of every month.
