Arcadia Public School prides itself on supporting each child to reach their full potential. We have revamped our student leadership guidelines to enable students to self-nominate for roles that suit their talents and help develop leadership skills. We announced our complete leadership team at a recent assembly and in our newsletter.
These students are filling a variety of leadership roles in the following areas; Wellbeing, Gardening Club, Library and Sports Houses. Our School Parliament is an opportunity for all students to come up with ideas to improve our school or with solutions to problems in the playground.
Last year we used our School Parliament to seek advice on changes to our Positive Behaviour for Learning, which we implemented this year. Our students had the opportunity to join the leadership team as key stakeholders on the School Parliament team. This enables students with leadership potential to be identified, develop their talent and improve their abilities.
This year our school has had a strong start supporting students’ social skills and emotional strength with the introduction of You Can Do It! It is an Australian program providing explicit teaching in the five key areas: confidence, persistence, organisation, getting along and resilience. It also supports us in developing our leadership team. Our students with high potential in creativity, intellectual and physical pursuits are also being offered extra opportunities to develop their potential.
At Arcadia Public School, we offer small class sizes in an idyllic community-based setting. Before and after school care is offered here on site by Northwest Community Childcare. Places are available every day for both sessions.
If you are interested in finding out about opportunities we can offer your child and booking a school tour, please contact the Principal, Belinda Reedman, on 9653 1207. Enquiries are welcome for an immediate start or to start in 2026 or in later years.
We are a proud local primary school offering an outstanding local education.
