On Friday the 13th of April, Arcadia Public School and the Arcadian community were extremely proud to remember past and current serving Defence Forces men and women in an extremely moving ANZAC Ceremony. We were honoured to welcome Major General the Honourable Justice Paul Brereton AM, CPL Gregory Stephinson and Counsellor Warren Waddell – Hornsby Shire Council, Mrs Lisa Pieper – Galston High School Deputy Principal, Miss Jessica Robards and Mr Nathan Shaheen – GHS Prefects, Mrs Olivia Carter – APS Band Scholarship Patron, APS P&C Association 2018 Executive and Committee as well as our special APS P&C Life Members. Our school is so privileged to be well loved and enjoy the patronage of such distinguished and active members of the community. The school captains, Year 5 and Year 6 students spoke of courage, commitment and the theme of 2018 ANZAC Day – curiosity, in their address to the school community.
Preschool students and their families are warmly invited to join us for the 2018 Arcadia Agricultural Adventure Day on Friday, May 25. They will enjoy sheep shearing and other agriculture experiences in groups led by our fabulous senior students and local ‘farm’ experts.
Mother’s Day is always a special event when Arcadia Markets are on the agenda. Come along and find the most special and spectacular gift for mum on May 5.
