Hills Probus Club Celebrates Christmas with Music and Feast

The Probus Club of the Hills wrapped up the year in festive style, gathering at the Galston Club for its annual Christmas luncheon. Members were treated to a traditional turkey feast, setting the tone for an afternoon filled with music, laughter and seasonal nostalgia.

Entertainment came courtesy of the spirited Singaleles, an all-female ensemble known for their ukulele-driven performances and rich vocal harmonies. Their repertoire stretched across genres, blending Christmas classics with inventive arrangements that featured flute, glockenspiel and even rhythmic flourishes from plastic cups.

The afternoon’s standout moment was a rousing rendition of The Twelve Days of Christmas, complete with enthusiastic audience participation. By the time the “ten lords a leaping” made their appearance, the room was alive with laughter and theatrical improvisation.

The Hills-based Probus club, centred in Galston, continues to position itself as a welcoming social group for retirees seeking friendship, shared interests and community connection.
