Eoin Gubbins the Dural Club Manager welcomed the bowlers at the Christmas lunch held on Saturday 13th December 2025. He stated that he took over this position just over a year ago and is thoroughly enjoying his interactions with the sub clubs. The award presentation took place after lunch and the winners and runners up of the various competitions held throughout the year were presented with their prizes by the president of Dural Bowling Club.

The day started at 9.30am with a game of scroungers whereby players are divided up into groups of 4 to a rink. Each rink players plays an individual game against the others. Each player has 3 bowls and the closest bowls scores 3 points, second 2 points and third 1 point.

The players had a fun and entertaining morning on the greens and Graeme Giles was the winner of the competition. After the completion of the game of scroungers the bowlers that had elected to skip the morning games joined the rest of the group for lunch in the dining room.

We also farewelled Steve Barrett at the Christmas lunch as he had made the decision to return to his homeland of New Zealand.
