Galston Public School has cemented its position as one of the region’s top-performing primary schools, outshining comparable institutions — including several private schools — in the latest NAPLAN 2025 results.
Students in Years 3 and 5 delivered exceptional outcomes in the 2025 assessments, performing well above both State and national averages. According to the school, the strong results reflect the professionalism and dedication of its administration, teaching and support staff, who have worked closely with students and families throughout the year.
Teachers at Galston Public School use a range of student data, including NAPLAN, to design targeted and effective learning programs. With smaller class sizes, staff are able to focus on individual needs — a factor the school says plays a significant role in its consistently strong academic outcomes.
School leaders say the impressive lift in English and Mathematics scores highlights the collective effort of teachers and students. Importantly, Galston does not run programs designed purely to boost NAPLAN performance. Instead, the school focuses on delivering a rich and varied curriculum that prioritises critical thinking, collaboration, problem-solving, creativity and a genuine love of learning.
“Engaged, switched-on children who enjoy coming to school perform well — it’s as simple as that,” the school notes.
Kindergarten Enrolments Now Open for 2026
Galston Public School is now accepting enrolment enquiries, applications and completed forms for Kindergarten 2026. As the school is currently operating below its enrolment cap, priority will be given to families residing within the local catchment.
The school can also accept siblings of current students who live out of area, and will consider additional out-of-area applications on a case-by-case basis, depending on available places.
Families can access the updated 2025 enrolment procedures and guidelines via the school’s website.
