In its second year of operation, the Dural Community Garden is shifting focus from its bountiful harvest of fruits and vegetables to the creation of a vibrant wildflower garden. This initiative stems from the belief that their garden is not truly complete without a burst of color.
As each season unfolds, the garden continues to flourish with a variety of planting options, including raised beds, in-ground beds, and designated spaces for children. Following the spring season, the community anticipates the introduction of a new garden bed, which will be brimming with an array of colourful native wildflowers to support local bee populations.
The Dural Community Garden invites members of the public to lend a hand. Open for participation every Friday and Saturday morning, the garden welcomes anyone looking to engage in the cultivation and enjoyment of fresh produce.
