Galston Concerts 2025

The Galston Concert tradition continues to elevate the local arts scene, and its 2025 finale is set to showcase just how vibrant regional music-making has become.

Tucked away on School Road in Galston, the Uniting Church might appear modest from the outside, but step through its doors and you’ll find one of the Hills District’s most impressive performance spaces.

A dramatic stained-glass window floods the sanctuary with colour, framing a stage dominated by a pristine 6’ C7 Yamaha grand piano and the magnificent 1887 English Heritage Organ, built by Forster and Andrews. Combined with a state-of-the-art sound studio and high-definition video screens, the venue has evolved well beyond its spiritual purpose—today, it stands as a premier destination for classical music in Sydney’s northwest.

The final Galston Concert for 2025, scheduled for Sunday 2 November at 2pm, promises an afternoon of exquisite musicianship, featuring performances on both the grand piano and historic pipe organ, alongside standout violin works.

Two outstanding young talents—Conservatorium multi-instrumentalist Tim Li and violinist Sean Weatherly, who holds an L.Mus.A. and is also an accomplished organist—will lead the program. Both have previously impressed audiences at the Sydney Town Hall Organ’s ‘Young Organists Day’ concerts, and their return to the Hills is expected to delight concert-goers.

For classical music lovers, the Galston series is a reminder that world-class performances aren’t limited to the city—the Hills continues to foster an artistic scene brimming with energy and talent.

Organisers say more remarkable artists are already being lined up for the 2026 Galston Concert Series, with details to be revealed soon.
