Hornsby Shire Councillor Dedicated to Community Service

Serving in my first term as an elected councillor for Hornsby Shire has been an incredibly rewarding, challenging and eye-opening experience.

I entered this role with a strong commitment to community service, and over the past term, I’ve had the opportunity to listen to residents, work collaboratively with council colleagues, and contribute to decisions that shape the future of our beautiful bushland shire.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of the role has been engaging with local residents – whether at community forums, on the street, or through correspondence. These conversations have grounded my work in the very real concerns and aspirations of those we represent.

From advocating for better infrastructure, and improved public transport options to ensuring responsible development that respects our natural environment, I’ve worked hard to help to deliver outcomes that reflect community values.

During this term, I’ve also taken pride in contributing to initiatives that support sustainability, local business, and cultural inclusion. Highlights include involvement in park upgrades, improved waste management policies, and strengthening support for local community groups.

Finding a balance with competing interests and working within budget constraints can be complex, but through it all, council’s focus has remained on accountability and making thoughtful, informed decisions for the longterm benefit of Hornsby Shire.

Looking ahead, I remain committed to being a strong, approachable voice for our community. I thank everyone who has supported me so far and look forward to continuing this important work in service of Hornsby Shire.
