Middle Dural Public School is set to have an exciting upgrade thanks to a co-investment by the NSW Government, Middle Dural Public P&C Association, and the wider school community.
The $15,000 Community Building Partnership 2025 grant will make it possible for the school to build shade solutions over the school sandpit and install seating to create an outdoor learning and recreation area.
Principal Melissa Date worked closely with the P&C representative, Rita Gaits, and the school community to determine what the students could benefit from most.
Principal Date said “We were delighted to get the phone call from James Wallace to tell us that we were one of the lucky recipients of the Community Building Partnership 2025 Grant. Students and parents will be thrilled to see additional shade in our playground. The sandpit is always a popular option at lunch time especially when they discover gemstones hidden in the sand.”
James Wallace MP, Member for Hornsby, said “It’s fantastic to be able to commit this funding to Middle Dural Public. I know that school discretionary budgets have been hit hard recently, but I’m committed to helping our local schools deliver modern learning and play environments that match the world-class education our kids are getting in the classroom.”
