Hawkesbury City Council is inviting community feedback on the draft concept plans for the proposed redevelopment of Tamplin Field in Hobartville.
Currently home to rugby league, little athletics, school sports and general fitness activities, Tamplin Field is set for a major upgrade aimed at enhancing its sporting and community facilities while retaining its role as a local hub.
The project is supported by $9.795 million in funding from the NSW Government, allocated through the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants program. The proposed concept plan includes:
- A 400-metre competition-standard turf running track with eight lanes, and a 10-lane 100-metre sprint track
- An integrated natural turf field and designated areas for field events such as long jump, shot put, discus and javelin
- New multi-use courts
- A reconstructed amenities building with tiered spectator seating
- A new play space and outdoor fitness station
- Improved car parking, footpaths, drainage and irrigation
- Designated social areas, including seating and BBQs
The plans are on public exhibition from Monday, 30 June to Sunday, 27 July 2025.
Residents can view the concept plans and submit feedback through Council’s online engagement platform: Your Hawkesbury Your Say.
Printed copies of the plans are also available for inspection at the Council Administration Building (366 George Street, Windsor) from 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, until Friday 25 July 2025.
Submissions may also be sent by email to [email protected], or by post to The General Manager, PO Box 146, Windsor NSW 2756.
