Art Demonstration: Mariana Ariza “An Impressionist Approach to Seascape Painting” – Acrylic or Oil.
By taking an impressionistic approach to capture what’s essential, Mariana will demonstrate how to create a captivating composition, how to interpret and mix the right colours, and other techniques with the aim of capturing an impression of the scene that conveys both its visual beauty and its emotive nature.
Mariana enjoys many different subjects and often works on commissioned pieces. The ocean is one of the themes that most captivate her, with its ever-changing shapes and play of colours. She has been a teacher at CHAS for a number of years.
Visitors are welcome to join with the Castle Hill Art Society 7.00pm at Castle Glen Community Centre, 157 Ridgecrop Drive, Castle Hill.
