Hills Hawks Super League

For a small community sitting on the edge of Sydney, our area has certainly ‘punched above its weight’ when it comes to competitive soccer. As the proud Hills Hawks Football Club approaches its 56th season, there is a new energy from juniors right through to O45s, including the formation of a new Super League team which will compete against some of the best at the amateur level across Northern Sydney.

For the past decade the Hills Hawks have run a Premier League team, which is the very highest level of amateur football in Australia. For a small club in semi-rural Sydney, that is no mean feat.

Unfortunately, through natural attrition and other factors that team disbanded at the end of 2023. Now the club will put together a team capable of competing in the Super League which will, hopefully, provide a pathway for our most competitive players to again move up into Premier League within a couple of seasons.

The Hawkies are an integral part of the fabric of our community, and many locals are brought together by sport in general, and the club more specifically. Those who have played for the club, coached, or cheered on their kids from the sideline are bonded together by their shared experiences.

To have a team to watch at the very top of amateur football gives local kids something to aspire to, should they have a competitive nature themselves, as well as making for a very entertaining spectacle on a Saturday afternoon!

We do have some extremely talented juniors coming through at the moment, and the club is providing extra training opportunities for anyone wanting to take their game to another level. That said, we are first and foremost a family club and there is a level for any player, whether they are the next Ronaldo or just want a kick in the park with their friends.
