Sydney Hills Garden Competition
The Rotary Club of the Hills-Kellyville is hosting the 2023 Sydney Hills Garden Competition, which includes various categories for gardeners ranging from small town houses to industrial, commercial, and retirement complexes.
The competition has a rich history in the Hills Shire, dating back to 1959 when Councillor Eric Mobbs founded it. The event is now run annually and covers a broad range of categories for all types of gardeners, including young gardeners in the Schools category.
This year, new categories include ‘Small Lot Gardens’ and ‘Environmentally Friendly Gardens.’ Gardens located in the Hills Shire and adjoining parts of the suburbs of North Rocks, Carlingford, Northmead, Winston Hills, Baulkham Hills, West Pennant Hills, Cherrybrook, Glenhaven, Dural, Arcadia, Galston, and Glenorie are eligible for the competition.
The gardens will be judged by professional and experienced horticulturists and landscapers, and the winners will be honored and receive prizes at the Awards Night on 22 September.
