The Balcombe Heights Estate has provided incredible service to the Country during the great wars – being established to educate children left disadvantaged after WW1 and serving as the 103rd Australian General Rehabilitation Hospital during WW2.

The school functioned as a learning facility up until the 1970’s when Council purchased the facility. Since then, Council has housed community groups, upgraded facilities and promoted the site’s history for the betterment of the entire shire.

The Balcombe Heights Estate is truly unique in the shire, and we look forward to this asset serving the community for at least another 100 years.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
