It is wonderful to see our students being awarded for their achievements in and out of the classroom.
Our three tiered award scheme see students earning Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards with their ultimate goal earning a Hillside School Medal. All students are issued with an award folder in which they collect their certificates.
It is so rewarding seeing our students excitedly bringing in their folder as they have earnt enough certificates for their next Bronze or Silver Award.
We are looking forward to welcoming families and friends to our Open Day and Book Fair on Tuesday 23 August. On the day students and their visitors will participate in a variety of fun Book Week activities related to the CBCA theme ‘Dreaming with Eyes Open’. It is an opportunity for our Kindergarten 2023 students to meet their buddies and learn more about the great school they will be attending next year. Students and visitors will finish the morning activities with a delicious morning tea.
Pantomime rehearsals are well underway for our star studded performance of ‘The Lemonade Kid’ on Thursday 8 September at the school. There will be two performances on the day, a matinee at 11:30am and the main evening performance starting at 6pm. We invite the Glenorie community to join us at one of the performances, no booking required and there is no cost for an hour or so of outstanding entertainment from all our students, Kindergarten to Year 6!
Our Kindergarten Orientation sessions for children enrolled to start at Hillside in 2023 will be held on Wednesday 12 and 19 October. If you are in the Hillside area and have not yet enrolled your eligible child for 2023, please do so as soon as possible. We have Before and After School Care onsite, spacious grounds, small class sizes, dedicated teachers, French and music program, and extensive sporting program.
