Welcome back everyone to school. After a relaxing two and a half weeks of holidays, we are eager to learn. Heading towards the middle of the year, Term 2 is starting to be a very busy term indeed!
We spoiled our mums and nannas with gifts from our Mothers day stall. The stall was held in the school hall on Wednesday, 10th May 2017. We had some super gifts. Thank you to all the mums who helped run the store and Kerry for organising it. We hope that all the mothers enjoyed their gifts.
After training very hard, Glenorie students participated in our Cross Country on 5th May. We ran around the school and Glenorie park. We all enjoyed the day, pushing ourselves to the limit and testing our stamina. The event each child entered was determined by the age they are turning this year. Congratulations to everyone who participated in the event and a huge thank you to Mr Gornalle for organised such a wonderful day. 40 students will now go on to the zone carnival on the 9th June.
To fundraise for the Year 6 farewell, we held a Mother’s Day Raffle! We had some wonderful prizes including first prize, which was a 115L bar Fridge filled with six Bottles of champagne. Thank you to Nati Bros Roses, 2157 Fine Gifts, Blush Skin and Beauty, Laura Jane Hair and Sweet Pea Boutique for the wonderful prizes that you donated. We’re sure that everyone enjoyed your amazing gifts thoroughly.
Congratulations Year 3 and 5 on the completion of the NAPLAN tests. They all did their best to achieve the highest result possible, and we wish them all good luck when their results come out.
We are all looking forward to more exciting events to come!
