Residents Asked To Have Their Say On Fairway Drive Reserve

It wasn’t that long ago that Fairway Drive, Kellyville was a largely rural road wedged between Norwest Business Park and Windsor Road.

But now the area around Fairway Drive is becoming populated by new residents moving into a mix of houses, townhouses and apartments.

Hills Shire Mayor Dr Michelle Byrne said that open space needed to be retained and encouraged residents to have their say on the Fairway Drive Reserve concept plan.

“Fairway Drive is transforming rapidly and a local park bordered by Laura St, Horatio Ave and Fairway Dr will become popular with residents,” Mayor Byrne said.

“The proposed local park is now on exhibition for public comment. The concept plan includes a share way for pedestrians and bikes, turfed area, children’s playground, a multipurpose half court for both netball and basketball, a picnic shelter and native and riparian vegetation.”
