Local Pump Manufacturer, Aussie Pump runs an extensive recruitment campaign in the Hills district. The aim was to find locals looking for a fulfilling career in an industry that is vital to the productivity of the country.
The program has been a huge success with locals like Shiran Munasinghe, from Baulkham Hills, joining the team. After working in an accounting role in the city for over 15 years Shiran jumped at the chance of local employment. Shiran joined the Aussie Pumps admin team 15 months ago in the busy accounts receivable role.
“It’s enjoyable and challenging with over 500 accounts to manage,” said Shiran. “Our national customer base is a pleasure to work with, but the real benefit for me is the 8 minute commute,” he said.
The company are now looking for a motivated, high energy recruit to join the team as an Accounts Payable clerk. The varied role includes managing freight accounts, liaising with suppliers, reconciliations as well as processing payments to creditors. “It’s small team here, but everyone is friendly, very professional and dedicated,” said Shiran. “The company provides on the job support and training with plenty of opportunities to grow.”
