After the Fiftieth birthday celebrations the Dural ladies are back on the bowling green in competition mode. The Fours Championship and the Consistency Singles have been decided.
Experienced bowler Leone Lesslie was too good on the day for Diana Sweeney in the Consistency which is a singles game where the four closest bowls score: 4,3,2,1, ie 10 per end. It is a great game for developing one’s game as control of each bowl is the key. “Happy accidents” are rarer.
Elizabeth Whelan, Eileen Bromley, Sue Vindin and Diana Sweeney combined well and showed their greater experience to defeat Marilyn Bonvino ,Christine Fitzgerald, Robyn Cook and Judith Harris after a close game. Christine has had a very impressive first year of bowling getting to two finals.
