2020 CASTLE HILL SHOW

With the success of last year’s Youth in Agriculture Expo the show society has the 2020 show on March 20-22 is underway. The poultry section is a good example of early organisation and the schedule is available. All poultry breeds are covered and sections for horses, cattle and sheep will also feature at the Showground that weekend.

The various Young Judges competitions to encourage expertise among young animal lovers are the highlights with the winners going on to compete at the Sydney Royal. Last year’s Junior Judge winner in the poultry section, Olivia Broughton, went on to win at the Royal and will represent NSW in the national championship to be held in New Zealand. Young people will also be judged on their ability to parade the winning animals.

As well as the animals there will be a children’s and schools’ Art and Craft section and a Young Farmer Challenge Competition. That’s something for all the family.

All the details of this great weekend with the animals and their handlers are on the Castle Hill Show website for those who wish to enter or time their visits for a particular event. At $5.00 it is a great day out.

The wonderful ladies from the Castle Hill CWA will have their refreshments available!

On the previous weekend a variety of equestrian events will be held.
