A winner from Kellyville and a couple from Wisemans Ferry both took home $100,000, according to The Lott. Both winners scored 1st Place wins in the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot.
The Kellyville woman was reportedly overwhelmed with the 1st Prize-winning entry in the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot. The draw 10922 was drawn on the 31st of January last year, a few moments before New Year.
“At first, I was confused to what was going on. When I had a closer look at my ticket, I could see I’d won $100,000,” the woman said.
“I was so stunned that I couldn’t even eat for the rest of the day. I’m going to put most of it towards my mortgage and then book an overdue holiday.”
“Once I see that money hit my account, I’ll be booking some flights to Europe!”
On the other hand, a couple in Wisemans Ferry will use the money to rebuild their home after being damaged by floods.
Their numbers were in the 10925 draw drawn on Friday, 7 February. Aside from their $100,000 prize, they will also take home a consolation prize of $1,000, making it to a $101,000 win.
“I’m just in the car with my husband. I’m so glad we pulled over to answer your call. We’re flabbergasted. What a lovely, wonderful surprise!” the wife said.
“Thank you so much. Our house was flooded, and we’ve had to completely rebuild. There were a few things I didn’t think we’d ever get done but this will enable us to finish everything.”
Both winning entries were purchased online.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $4.6 million for draw 1697, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $11.16 million for draw 10926.
In FY24, 147 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $53.4 million.
Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Mega Jackpot are raffle-based games, featuring a fixed number of tickets for each draw. Each ticket number is distinct, ensuring that prizes are not shared.
Every game includes two draws: one for the winning numbers and another for the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches any winning number, the Jackpot Prize is awarded. Conversely, if it doesn’t match, the Jackpot Prize will climb to the next draw.
Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.
The official platform for Australia’s lotteries, The Lott operates and markets various lottery games that are popular among customers, facilitating numerous daily winnings.
In FY24, more than 132.8 million winners took home more than $4.4 billion in prize money from their favourite games at The Lott, including Saturday Lotto, Weekday Windfall, Powerball, Oz Lotto, Set for Life, Lucky Lotteries, Keno (SA), Super 66, Lotto Strike and Instant Scratch-Its.
Last financial year, Australia’s lotteries contributed over $1.8 billion in state taxes and donations for community initiatives like hospitals, health research, disaster relief, and education.
